Appeal to find missing Limerick woman

Maria Hennigar, 35, originally from the Fr Russell Road

SEARCHES are ongoing to find a missing Limerick woman, with her family and friends continuing to scour the coastline in county Clare.

The family of Maria Hennigar, 35, originally from the Fr Russell Road, have appealed for help in their search to find her.

Gardaí in Ennistymon had earlier appealed for assistance in locating Maria, a freelance film-maker, who has been missing from Doolin since early this month.

Maria is described as 5’7″, with brown hair, blue/green eyes and is of medium build.

Maria, who lived alone, was last seen at Doonmacphelim, Doolin sometime around the first week in November.

She has been living in the Doolin area for the past six months and was missed by a concerned neighbour who reported not having seen here for a time, probably three weeks.

In an online appeal, her sister Michelle wrote last night: "Unfortunately we have no news yet. We spent the day in Doolin searching for her and passing out posters and speaking to people who know her.

"We have some names and numbers to check in with and a few people mentioned that she goes to Galway often so hopefully something will come of that.

"We'll be going back there tomorrow [Monday] to search the surrounding areas and we may be organising a search in the coming days. Thank you all again for your concern and help and please keep your eyes peeled," she wrote.

Anyone who may have seen Maria or may know of her whereabouts is asked to contact Ennistymon Garda station on 065 7072180, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
