Recent deaths in Limerick

THE death has occurred of Maire Quilichini (née Ward), who died peacefully on August 29 after a short illness, in Lyon, France.

Survived by beloved husband Claude, children Gigi and Eoin Ward, and grandchildren Nessa and Fia. Maire was the daughter of the late Padraig and Agnes Ward, Kilmallock, and sister to the late Una and Brian. She is sadly missed by her brothers Philip, Padraic (Fr. Senan O.S.A), Tom, Fergus, Conor, her daughter-in-law Foz, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Cremation took place in Lyon.

The peaceful death has occurred of Frank (Foncie) Mulcahy, of Maple Drive, Caherdavin Lawn, Limerick, at St. Paul's Nursing Home.

Late of McInerney Construction, Foncie was the beloved husband of Violet, and loving father to Dermot and Frank. Sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Alison, grandson Oisin, brother Gerry, sisters Peggy and Patsy, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street this Friday evening from 6 to 7.30pm, followed by removal to Christ the King Church, Caherdavin.

Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Castlemungret Cemetery.
