Shock as O’Connor resigns as Limerick minor manager
LEO O’Connor has quit as Limerick minor manager with a year left on his term.
O’Connor reportedly met with the Limerick county board this morning and advised them of his decision.
The Claughaun man led the minor team to a Munster Final and All Ireland quarter-final this season where they lost out controversially to Tipperary in the Munster decider.
The team then went on play Galway in the All Ireland series but were beaten by a quality side.
This news comes as a major shock as O’Connor had been expected to stay on in the role.
Leo was a member of the Limerick panel that was beaten in the All Ireland Senior Final in 1994 and also was in charge of the Limerick U-21 team that won the Munster title in 2011.
