Limerick racecourse hosts its annual All American Race day this Sunday, July 6, and promises a gripping day’s racing as well as a host of fun for all the family.

To celebrate US independence day (July 4), the track is laying on plenty of free children’s entertainment including bouncy castle, face-painting, arts & crafts, cinema club, playground and more.

The first 200 patrons through the gate on the day will receive complimentary Trifecta Tote betting vouchers sponsored by Tote Ireland.

Trifecta Bets allow you to win by picking the first three horses to cross the finish line in exact order.

The first race is off at 2:35pm with seven National Hunt races on the card. As part of the July 4 Limerick celebrations taking place over the weekend, all American passport holders will enjoy general admission for only €6pp when they show their passport at the turnstile.

The feature race of the day is the Live Dream With Tote Galway Plate Trial Handicap Steeplechase €15,000 which was won by the Noel Meade-trained and Robbie Power-ridden Another Palm in 2013.

The ground at Limerick is currently riding good to firm so those with an eye on declarations might steer clear of mud larks when making their selections. Further going updates will be issued on limerickraces.ie, just in case the weather doesn’t play ball over the weekend.

General admission is €12 per person and discounted admission for Students/OAPS. Children under 16 years are free at the races.

Further special offers available online so check out www.limerickraces.ie for more details.

Meanwhile, the final Library Bar Twilight race meeting of 2014, takes place on Thursday July 24 and features country star Derek Ryan; this is the last chance to enjoy a summer evening of horse racing and live music at Greenmount this year.
