Emly deserving of Tidy Towns glory
THE results of the annual Tidy Towns competition are in and villages and towns across the Mid-West can pride themselves on their hard work in putting their best side forward for the judges.
Across county Limerick the judges were hugely impressed by the efforts of local communities and we salute everyone who played a part and gave their time to improving the appearance of the place they call home.
Just over the border in Tipperary, the people of Emly are this week overjoyed at winning the overall national title.
Plenty of Emly people buy the Limerick Leader every week and this newspaper congratulates everyone in the village on their marvellous and richly deserved achievement.
