Deaths in Limerick - November 27, 2016

THE death has occurred of Frank Gallagher of ‘Loyola’, Rosbrien Road, Limerick.

Frank – a former President of Shannon RFC – passed away peacefully at St. Camillus’ Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary and the late Peg and dearest father of Mary, Margaret, Deirdre, Geraldine, Andrew, Alma, Katie and the late Ruth. Deeply regretted by his loving wife and family, brothers John and Michael, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandson, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, Johnsgate on Monday, November 28 from 5pm with removal taking place at 6.30pm to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Childers Road.

Funeral will take place at 11am on Tuesday followed by burial at Mount St. Lawrence (Ext.) Cemetery. Family flowers only - donations in lieu to Alzheimer's Society of Ireland.

The death has occurred (peacefully in the UK) of Geraldine McGrath (née O'Loughlin) of Carey's Road, Limerick.

Beloved wife of the late Michael and ddored mother of Charlotte Kossow, Deirdre Hunt & Geraldine Drinkall. Geraldine, will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law, precious grandchildren David, Derek, Charlotte, Hannah & Deirdre, great-grandson Dylan, sisters Charlotte & Teresa, nephews, nieces, other relatives & friends.

Removal will take place at 6.30pm on Wednesday, November 30 from Cross' Funeral Home, Lower Gerald Griffin Street to St. Joseph's Church, O'Connell Avenue (arriving at 7pm). Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday, December 1, at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred (peacefully at his home) of Udo Graef of Caherass, Croom.

Deeply regretted by his wife Agatha; sons Karl and Philip; daughters Ingrid and Linda; daughter in law Marion; grandchildren Naomi, Luke, Sophie and Clodagh; Niece Evelyn, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing on Monday at Daffy's Funeral Home, Croom between 6pm and 7pm. Funeral service will take place at 2pm on Tuesday at Castlecove Church, County Kerry with burial afterwards in Coad Cemetery, Castlecove.

The death has occurred (peacefully at St John’s Hospital) of Gerard Halvey of Sheelin Road, Caherdavin.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Carmel; children Bernadette, Anthony, Thomas, Gerard, Lorraine & Mark; daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, Johnsgate on Tuesday, November 29 between 5pm and 6:30pm followed by removal to Christ the King Church, Caherdavin. Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 30 after 11am Mass in Mount St Lawrence Cemetery.

The death has occurred (peacefully at Caherass Nursing Home) of Reene Walsh (née Roper) of Glen Ma, Croom (late of Aclare, Sligo).

Deeply regretted by her husband Seamus (John); sons Jimmy and John; daughter Teresa (Dollery); son in law Donal; daughters in law Janet and Ann-Marie, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Bernadette, brother in law Peter, sister in law Vera, nephews, nieces, relative, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing this Sunday at Daffy's Funeral Home, Croom from 6pm to 7:30pm. Her remains will arive at St Mary’s Church, Croom for Funeral Mass at midday with burial afterwards in Reilig Mhuire, Croom.

The death has occurred (peacefully at St Catherine’s Nursing Home, Newcastle West) of Kathleen (Kitty) Kehoe (née Larkin) of Walkinstown, Dublin and late of The Commons, Tournafulla.

Beloved wife of the late Peter, dear sister of the late Mary, Julia, Eileen, Sr. Ita, Bob and Tim. Deeply regretted by her loving sister-in-law Margaret (Larkin), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Requiem Mass takes place on Monday, November 28  at St. David's Church, Oylegate, County Wexford at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred (peacefully at Milford Care Centre) of Margaret (Peig) Brown (née Tierney) of Rushdale Drive, Clareview, Ennis Road, Limerick city [former Garda Sergeant]. Beloved wife of the late Michael (Deceased Detective Sergeant). Dearly loved mother of Liam, Sean and Michael. Sadly missed by her loving daughters-in-law, Helen, Niamh and Jade, grandchildren Maebh, Aoife, Áine, Ciara, Sinéad and Eabha, sisters Tessie and Bridie, brothers Paddy and John-Joe, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Milford Care Centre on Sunday evening from 5pm to 7.30pm followed by removal to Christ the King Church, Caherdavin. Requiem Mass will take place on Monday, November 28  at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Mungret Cemetery. Family flowers only with donations, if desired, to Milford Care Centre.

The death has occurred (peacefully at St John’s Hospital) of Marie France (née MacMahon) of Stenson Park, Farranshone. 

Hospital. Beloved wife of Peter and dearly loved mother of Darran, Peter, David and Kenneth. Sadly missed by her loving daughters-in-law, grandchildren, sister Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Sunday evening from 4pm to 6pm followed by removal to St Munchin’s Church. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am with burial afterwards in Mount St Lawrence Cemetery Extension.

The death has occurred of John O'Sullivan of St Peter's, Phibsboro, Dublin / Mallow, Cork (formerly of Sarsfield St. Kilmallock).

Predeceased by his parents Denis and Catherine and his brother Peter. Deeply regretted by sisters Marie (Heelan), Lily (Moran), Catherine (Slavin) & brothers Fr. Donie (Los Angeles), Pat (Missouri), Denis (Kilmallock) and Malachy (Charleville). Sister-In-Law Mary and Teresa, nephews, nieces and friends RIP.

His remains will arrive at St, Peter's Church Phibsborough on Monday, November 28  for 11:30am Mass with Cremation at 1.30pm at Glasnevin Crematorium.

The death has occurred (peacefully at Milford Care Centre) of Eithne Penny (née Prendergast) of Meadowsprings, Clareview and Upper Mayorstone, Limerick.

Beloved wife of the late Mick and dearest step-mother of Liz and Tony. Sadly missed by her loving daughter-in-law Bríd, granddaughters Jen, Grace, Pamela and Catherine, brother Bill, sisters Mary (Deloughry) and Maeve (Mahony), nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Sean and Arthur and sister Eily (Nagle).

The death has occurred of Tom Bennis, of Granville Park, Limerick City, late of Howmedica, passed away peacefully at University Hospital Limerick.

Beloved husband of Ann and dearest father of David, Alan & Adrian. Deeply regretted by his wife and sons, daughters-in-law Caroline & Anne-Marie beloved grandchildren Lauren, Scott, Stephen, Frankie & Julia, brother & sisters, other relatives and friends.
