A SHOW featuring musicians and dancers flying through the air will premiere at Dance Limerick this weekend.

Presented by the dance resource organisation and Fidget Feet - who are located in Limerick - in association with City of Culture and the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, Dreams Under My Feet takes place at various times on Saturday and Sunday.

Dreams Under My Feet blends traditional Irish dancing, set dancing and music with contemporary dance, aerial dance and rap and “brings you to a place where time is suspended and anything is possible in this dreamlike presentation”.

The production has brought together some of Limerick’s best artistic talent to merge these art forms into a stunning performance piece.

Students from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at UL, Limerick Youth Dance, local children’s choirs, musicians and hip hop artists all join forces under the creative direction of Ashlene McFadden and Chantal McCormick for a “mystical ceili” that starts in Dance Limerick in John’s Church and moves out into John’s Square.

Performances are at 2pm and 3.30pm on Saturday, and 12pm, 2pm and 3.30pm on Sunday. See www.dancelimerick.ie for more.
