NEWLYWEDS Kim Kardashian and Kanye West could be back on Limerick soil next week after expressing an interest in making a return visit when the rapper plays a gig in Dublin next Wednesday.

The news comes after the couple conveyed their gratitude for the kindness shown to them during their honeymoon in the county by penning a thank you email to the manager of Ballyhoura Failte.

The reality television star and her rapper husband managed to evade media and fans during their short stay in the Ballyhoura Countryside last month during which time they visited Castle Oliver outside Ardpatrick and went cycling and hiking with members of Ballyhoura Failte in the Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails.

“I did get an email to thank us,” said Fergal Somers, manager of Ballyhoura Failte this week.

“It was signed by both of them. Kanye is due to be back in Dublin next week for a concert and he said on the email that if they have time they might come back down,” he said.

The email, Mr Somers said, was “short and sweet”.

Renowned rapper Kanye plays Dublin’s Marlay Park next Wednesday with support from “Happy” hitmaker Pharrell Williams.

They eyes of the international press were fixed on Castle Oliver last month when the Leader exclusively revealed that the couple had visited the residence.

Kim and Kanye arrived at the Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails at 8am on Tuesday, May 27 to go cycling and trekking through the famous Blackrock Loop and the Ballyhoura Way.

During their adventure, the couple enjoyed a picnic prepared by The Old Bakehouse in Bruff. Included in the hamper was a selection of tarts, homemade scones, homemade brown bread, and crab salad - all made from local produce.

According to Mr Somers, who accompanied them on the trip, they also saw red squirrels, a pair of deer, and a young calf that was only born a couple of days previous.
