A WOMAN has been cut from a car following a crash in Limerick city.
The crash took place near the Kilmallock Road roundabout on the Childers Road, causing major traffic disruptions in both directions. The woman was uninjured and not taken to hospital.
The accident was described by one eye witness as a three car “rear-ender”, but Gardai in Roxboro said no one was injured.
Two units of Limerick Fire Service and several ambulances were called to the scene around lunchtime this Monday.
Gardai diverted traffic through Southill but major tailbacks were caused by the accident.
Childers Road has now re-opened in both directions.
