LADBROKES in William Street are backing Milford Hospice and the boys in green.
Before the loss to Croatia, the shop placed €100 on Ireland to qualify from the group at odds of 9/2.
If Trapattoni’s men do beat the odds the hospice will receive €450, but if they don’t they will still receive a cheque for €100.
Manager of the shop, Gerry Kiely, says they are proud to support Milford.
“It is close to many customers’s hearts,” said Mr Kiely. They donate half of a weekly shop sweepstakes on the Lotto bonus ball to Milford. Over €2,000 is raised every year.
Before the Ireland and Spain match on Thursday a Ladbrokes promotional team will descend on bars in the city giving away free bets.
