Ballinacurra Weston turned out in force to welcome the relocation of four community services to Garryglass House, Garryglass Avenue.

Ann Bourke, of Limerick City CDP - Our Lady of Lourdes office, said:

“Today we are launching Garryglass House; where four services are coming together in the community; Limerick city CDP, Our Lady of Lourdes office, STEPS School Completion Programme, Southside Drugs Education and Prevention Team and Ballinacurra Weston Family Support Initiative.

“Today is a golden opportunity to highlight these services,” she added.

The houses were previously occupied by the Barnados Charity.

Sergeant Martin O’Sullivan said: “They are vital services to the community here and they do a fantastic job. They are used by a majority of people here in the community.

“The location of the services here in the centre of the community is excellent. As community gardai we work in conjunction with them in a day to day basis. The change of premises is vital to them,” he added.
