LIMERICK Racecourse have announced that the successful Careers Exhibition will return to the Patrickswell course again this year.
The expo, which boasted four and a half thousand students at the event last year and was formerly run by Mid-West branch of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors, will be under the direct management of Limerick Racecourse this year due to budgetary issues.
The event, which provides a platform for colleges, training bodies and local businesses to meet with students from the region interested in third level education, will take place on September 25.
Russell Ferris, general manager of the racecourse said he was “delighted to be hosting the Careers Expo once more at Limerick Racecourse”.
“The event is vitally important in showcasing the further education and career opportunities that exist for school children and students of all ages. “It is important we maintain a strong positive presence in the Mid-West region in terms of what we can offer on a national scale i.e. high performing universities, premium company brands and a skilled/educated workforce. ”
The expo will be open to all, including transition year, fifth year and exam students, mature students, teachers, parents and those interested in returning to studies to improve their employment prospects.
