THE Boherbuoy Band are to hold their annual Christmas Concert on the evening of Sunday, December 16 at St Joseph’s Church.

THE Boherbuoy Band are to hold their annual Christmas Concert on the evening of Sunday, December 16 at St Joseph’s Church.

The concert will follow the regular Sunday Mass at 5.30pm in the church, with the brass and reed band to provide music.

Admission is free, and the organisers have promised a “wonderful evening of musical Christmas entertainment.”

The Boherbuoy Band, which is the oldest in Limerick, have a hectic December schedule, which continues right up until Christmas Day.

Each Saturday morning, up to and including Christmas Eve between 12 and 1pm the group will be performing for the public in Thomas Street.

They will also perform at the Limerick Musical Society concert next Thursday in the Redemptorists Church, South Circular Road next Thursday, December 6, and at the midday mass in the Augustinian Church the following Sunday, December 9.

Band rehearsals are held on each Wednesday night at 8.30pm and on Sunday mornings at 11.15am. New members are always welcome from beginners to the experienced at any level at our band room in Edward Street.
