Thirty-three year old talented Limerick photographer Alan Place has won third place in the portrait section at the AIB Press Photographers awards.
Thousands of entries from photographers around the country were submitted with just 127 chosen for the submissions which will tour the country later in the year,

“We at Press 22 are all deeply proud of Alan Place and his achievement in winning at award at the AIB Press Photographers event.
“He is a very, very talented young photographer with a very bright future,” said the agency’s chief photographer, Liam Burke.
Also recognised at the awards were Alan’s colleagues at Press 22 Sean Curtin and Brian Arthur, who had pictures shortlisted.
