A RADIO documentary has been produced chronicling the events that occured during the Kilfinane National School stand-off last month.

On November 22, last, a number of Sub-contractors who hadn’t been paid for their work loaded vans with materials from the school while parents and children gathered at the gates refusing to allow them to leave.

The stand-off, which attracted significant local and national coverage, lasted for several hours and was only resolved after the school authorities secured a High Court injunction.

Produced by Diarmuid McIntyre, Mairead O’Connor and Mary McDonnell of the Kilfinane-based Grey Heron Media, the documentary entitled “Take No More” was broadcast on RTE Radio One earlier this month.

The documentary can be accessed on The Doc on One website click here.
