AIB have revealed that approximately €33m has been approved by AIB toward the purchase of residential properties across Limerick city.
AIB recently hosted a mortgage seminar aimed at assisting and advising customers who are thinking of buying a new home. It included a cross section of first and second time buyers, provided hints and tips on the buying journey as well as explaining and demystifying the mortgage process.
Kieran Considine, branch manager of AIB 106 O’Connell Street, explained: “Here in AIB, we understand that buying a home is a major event in anyone’s life.
“Providing the right advice and support is hugely important and that is why we hosted a mortgage seminar in the Savoy Hotel recently aimed at all those who are thinking, or are already in the process, of seeking mortgage finance”
The evening provided an overview of the residential property market in Limerick, helpful hints and tips on putting a mortgage application together, contacts and supports within AIB, and an explanation of how we assess affordability and suitability, said Mr Considine.
The seminar also included presentations from Michael Quirke, head of mortgage products and business development, AIB; Lisa Kearney, Rooney Auctioneers; Michael Glynn, Glynn & Co Solicitors and a contribution from a customer who has recently gone through the mortgage experience.
The event was very well attended and showed the strong interest and growing momentum in the residential property market in Limerick, said Mr Considine.
This positive momentum is reflected in the current levels of mortgage activity in Limerick city, so far this year approximately €33m has been approved by AIB toward the purchase of residential properties across the city with the average loan amounting to almost €151,000. said Mr Considine.
