County Limerick’s landmark Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort has been put on the market with a price tag of over €25m.
Significant international interest is expected in the five-star resort which stands on 766 acres.
The hotel was bought in the mid-1980s by American businessman Tom Kane who has made significant investments in the property over the years. This includes the development a highly regarded 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr. The course hosted the Irish Open in 2007 and 2008.
In recent years, a number of luxury properties have also been developed on the grounds of the estate.
The hotel itself has 63 bedrooms and suites overlooking the river Maigue.
Agents CBRE are understood to be guiding between €25m and €27m for the property.
