BRITISH sofa manufacturer and retailer DFS is to open its fourth Irish store in Limerick this Christmas.

In a move which will create ten new jobs, the business is to open in a unit at the Ballysimon Road.

Chief marketing officer with DFS, Adare woman Helen Normoyle, said: “DFS is thrilled to be investing further in Ireland, bringing the number of stores on the island to six. To date Irish consumers have responded really well to our ‘sofa for everyone’ proposition as well as the in store experience and expertise our sales teams can give the customer.”

She promised the new store at the Ballysimon Road “will provide a selection of the largest range of sofas in Munster, chosen to suit all styles and budgets.”

Helen said she is particularly proud to bring DFS to her hometown.

“Limerick is a terrific city and the new store will be a great addition to the local retail landscape. With some exceptional opening offers in December during the winter sale, DFS is looking forward to a busy trading period,” she said.

DFS currently operates from three locations in Ireland - Blanchardstown and Carrickmines in Dublin plus Cork.
