THIRTY new jobs are to be created in Limerick after Audi Ireland announced it is to open a new garage on the Dublin Road.

THIRTY new jobs are to be created in Limerick after Audi Ireland announced it is to open a new garage on the Dublin Road.

The car dealer is set to open for business at the former Singland Motors site by October 31.

It forms part of the Joe Duffy Motor Group expansion into Munster.

Gavin Hynes, managing director of the Joe Duffy Motor Group said: “We are delighted Audi Ireland has selected us as the preferred strategic partner to expand the Audi business in the mid-west Limerick region.”

Christian Gussen, managing director, Audi Ireland, said: “As one of the leading dealer groups in Ireland, we are certain the Joe Duffy Motor Group will deliver the best levels of sales and after sales service for their new Audi customers in this extremely important market area.”

City East Fianna Fail councillor Jerry O’Dea welcomed the opening, saying: “It is good to welcome an established business like Audi back to the city. It shows that Limerick is an important city in Ireland for the company.”

To celebrate the opening, Audi Limerick will host an test drive event at the showroom on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6 next.

The event will allow potential customers to drive one of the Audi motors, and discuss various financial packages which may be available to them.
