A LIMERICK IT company has extended its deal with Munster Rugby.

Action Point, which employs 53 people at its headquarters in Limerick and also its Cork and Dublin offices, has extended its contract as official IT supplier to the province for a further 12 months.

The firm will manage all the IT requirements for Munster players and officials as well as Thomond and Musgrave Park grounds and Munster’s offices at the University of Limerick Arena.

“Given that we started out as a company here in Limerick and two of our three offices are in the province, we get particularly strong buy in from our staff for this partnership,” said CEO David Jeffreys.

“We have expanded steadily as a company over the past three years and there’s no doubt that being associated with Munster has been very positive. Munster is one of Ireland’s premium sporting brands and has a huge fan base that stretches way beyond the province’s geographical boundaries so we are delighted to be their IT supplier of choice.”

Munster Rugby CEO Garrett Fitzgerald said that having a proven IT company on board gives him and his team “a great deal of comfort”.

“Like any business, we have a major dependency on our IT systems. Action Point gives us that security on a day-to-day basis.”
