LABOUR councillor Joe Leddin has revealed that the city is set to get a massive jobs boost next month.

LABOUR councillor Joe Leddin has revealed that the city is set to get a massive jobs boost next month.

Speaking at this week’s City Council budget meeting, Cllr Leddin said there would be a “significant jobs announcement” for Limerick in January.

As exclusively revealed by the Limerick Leader last month, he later confirmed it was his understanding that the announcement would be up to 400 jobs at a call centre in Raheen. Finance Minister Michael Noonan also confirmed the jobs last month.

“There is no specific date, but it is very positive news to start the new year with,” Cllr Leddin told the Limerick Leader.
