WITH the price of cattle so high it is hard to pick up a bargain at Kilmallock Mart on a Monday but you might on Thursday next, March 22 at noon.
GVM are to host their inaugural liquidation plant, machinery and vehicle sale in the mart.
GVM’s Tom Crosse said many years ago there used to be small machinery sales but this is their first liquidation sale.
“We saw a niche in the market and we have been asked by the farming community and a number of liquidators and receivers would we accommodate some of their plant and machinery.
“We’re starting with our inaugural sale on March 22 and we are hoping to have three of four sales per year.
“It’s the perfect venue because we have huge space, parking and storage facilities.
“We’ve always argued that it should be used on days other than livestock sales days,” said Mr Crosse.
Thus far they have a huge range of lots worth over €200,000.
These include mini diggers, teleporters, horse boxes, a Range Rover, Renault, Toyota and Citroen vans, hydraulic ramps, site dumpers, disk mower, front loaders, agitators, rotovator, bale wrapper, slurry spreaders and much more.
The initial sale is on the instructions of Tom Doheny, liquidator with Deloitte Auditors and Accountants.
They are also inviting outside lots says Mr Crosse.
“We will be accepting outside lots on Tuesday, March 20 from 10am to 5pm and on Wednesday, March 21 from 10am to 3pm in Kilmallock Mart,” said Mr Crosse.
All lots will also be available for viewing by interested parties on the day preceding the auction - Wednesday, March 21. For more information please contact GVM’s John O’Connell on 087 6470746 or log on to www.gvm.ie/plantandmachinery
A big crowd of bargain hunters is expected on the day.
