THE WINNER of the second week of the ‘Buy up the City’ promotion has been chosen - and the lucky woman once again hails from Meelick.
Michelle Moloney now has €1,000 in shopping vouchers to spend, after winning the second week of the competition - which is supported by the Limerick Leader and Limerick Chronicle.
A regular shopper in the city centre, Michelle entered the draw after receiving coupons from Tom Tailor on Bedford Row, Wacky Shoes on O’ Connell Street and the Q Car Park in Harvey’s Quay.
Delighted with the fantastic prize, an ecstatic Michelle believes the shoppers scheme is a great idea.
“I saw the ad in the paper and it looked like a great offer. I normally shop in the city centre anyway, but I think it’s a really good idea to get people back in to the city.
“I’ve been in Tom Tailor a few times and I have to say, they’re really lovely in there,” she said.
Michelle added she was pleasantly surprised with the choice of stores where the vouchers can be used.
“I didn’t realise there were so many shops involved. I was expecting to have maybe one or two to choose from, but to have 50 is great. I’m delighted to have won and I’ve a weekend of shopping ahead of me now!”
For every purchase over €5 made from participating stores, shoppers are presented with a coupon.
To enter the draw, three coupons with receipts from three different participating stores must be submitted at the Limerick Leader offices on O’Connell Street.
Entry Forms and details of the weekly winners will be published in all editions of the Limerick Chronicle and Limerick Leader newspapers until the end of August.
