KEVIN O’ Gorman from Curragh Birin, Castletroy is the third winner in the Buy up the City promotion.
A marketing consultant, Kevin received his coupons from Savins on O’ Connell Street, Wokking, also on O’ Connell Street and the Cornstore on Thomas Street, which he describes as “Limerick’s best kept secret”.
The lucky winner couldn’t praise the Cornstore restaurant highly enough and is sure to be returning to it’s Thomas Street residence.
“I went to the Cornstore and if it wasn’t for the competition, I’d have never discovered it. It’s fantastic inside. The decor is second to none, the service and food are extraordinary.”
“I first heard about it (Buy up the City) from friends who had seen it in the Limerick Leader. I like eating so I went around to a lot of restaurants and had a couple of really nice dinners.”
Kevin also feels the scheme would appeal to shoppers and believes its a “very good idea to bring trade back into the town”.

Gillian Fitzgerald, of Specasavers on Cruises Street has seen more and more customers looking for coupons, in the hope of winning the big weekly prize.
“People are getting to know the competition more as it’s going along. We’ve actually run out of coupons so once we get some more it could take off,” she said.
For every purchase over €5 made from participating stores, shoppers are presented with a coupon.
To enter the draw, three coupons with receipts from three different participating stores must be submitted at the Limerick Leader offices on O’Connell Street.
