RYANAIR has announced a new route from Shannon to Poitiers in France, which will operate twice weekly from the start of April.
The low cost airline, which previously announced eight new routes from the airport in October last year, said it was “celebrating” the announcement of the new Shannon route by releasing 100,000 seats on sale at prices from just €17.99 for travel in February and March, which are available for booking until midnight this Thursday.
“Ryanair is pleased to announce a new route from Shannon to Poitiers in the Poitou-Charentes region of west-central France which will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Friday from 4 April,” said Maria Macken of the airline.
“Ryanair’s new Poitiers route will go on sale on www.ryanair.com tomorrow (Wednesday).”
The airline recently announced service improvements including the provision of allocated seating, allowing a second free small carry-on bag on flights and easier website access.
The new route from Shannon to Poitiers joins those already announced to Berlin, Munich, Paris, Warsaw, Krakow, Faro, Fuerteventura and Nice, which the airline said will add 300,000 new seats per year, passenger growth of almost 15%, to Shannon.
