THE monthly literary gathering On The Nail will take place in Limerick’s Locke Bar on Tuesday, September 3, at 8pm, with several special guests on the night.

THE monthly literary gathering On The Nail will take place in Limerick’s Locke Bar on Tuesday, September 3, at 8pm, with several special guests on the night.

John W Sexton, Louis Mulcahy and Deirdre Hynes will be the three guests on the night, followed by a 10-minute play and an open mic display.

Louis Mulcahy’s work has been published in an array of journals, as well as broadcasted on RTE1 and Lyric FM. In 2004, he received an honorary doctrate from the National University of Ireland. A collection of his Irish language poems was recently published.

The Limerick Writer’s Centre is supported by Foras na Gaeilge & The Arts Council of Ireland. Everyone is invited to take part in the open-mic after the main event, poets, storytellers, musicians and writers. Even if you don’t write you are welcome to bring something along to read. The night begins at 8.00pm and admission is free.
