LIMERICK’S annual festival of poetry has a new website with which to showcase its wares.

The Cuisle Limerick City International Poetry Festival returns this October for its 18th iteration, and the organisers behind the successful annual poetry-fest have launched a new website to promote it.

One of Cuisle’s attractions is that it features international poets as well as local scribes.

“Cuisle is the pulse that brings life to language, and creates friendships through verse between all peoples,” explained Robin Parmar of Cuisle.

“We do this through our links to festivals throughout Europe, as well as by featuring poetry in the Irish language.”

He continued: “The website is designed to promote our event far and wide. A listing of poets from past festivals highlights the enormous scope and high quality of the readings. Slideshows throughout the site show off photographs from the archives.”

The brand new website is available to view now at Cuisle Poetry Festival. The site will be used to announce poets and events as they are confirmed for this year’s festival, which takes place from October 24-26.

“We hope you will pay a visit, bookmark the site, and subscribe to our Facebook page,” added Robin.

Cuisle is funded by the Arts Council and Limerick City Council.
