Leading speakers from the theatre, publishing and visual art world are to speak at an upcoming seminar in Limerick.
Producing and selling your work is to be hosted by PLAN – the Professional Limerick Artists Network - set up during 2014.
The seminar is designed for those working in or interested in the arts and will offer attendees valuable insights to assist them in bringing their work to a wider audience.
Guest speakers are Marketa Dowling, Producer with Fishamble, Declan Meade, Publisher of The Stinging Fly, Michael Canning, visual artist and lecturer in Fine Art and Sheila Deegan, Arts Officer and key member of Limerick 2020.
Ann Blake, chairperson of PLAN, said: “We’re very excited about the calibre of speakers we have secured and hope that this practical seminar will offer useful insights to everyone attending in terms of bringing their work to a wider audience.
“We would ask those who hope to attend to register in advance through our website www.prolan.ie,” she added of the event, which will take place at the old Credit Union building at 69 O’Connell Street on November 28 from 1pm-4pm.
PLAN was set up in the wake of the storm over the beginnings of City of Culture to “act as a representative body for artists in Limerick, operating as a forum and a lobby group, locally and nationally, on issues of common concern, relating to the practice, management and development of the arts”.
Admission to the seminar on November 28 is free to PLAN members and €10 to non-members. Advance booking is recommended. See http://plan-seminar.eventbrite.ie to book tickets online.
