Limerick’s Queen of the May concert to raise funds

THE annual Queen of the May Concert at St Joseph’s Church, O’Connell Avenue, Limerick will take place on Tuesday, May 19, at 8pm sharp.

THE annual Queen of the May Concert at St Joseph’s Church, O’Connell Avenue, Limerick will take place on Tuesday, May 19, at 8pm sharp.

Proceeds will go towards the St Joseph’s Church Restoration Fund and the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland (Limerick Branch).

Topping an impressive line-up of artists will be local tenor Michael Nash, supported by Eve Stafford, soprano; Sinead Fitzpatrick, soprano; Enda Walsh, boy soprano; Friends of the Dolmen String Quartet, Bella Voce Girls’ Choir and the Gunas Choir, both conducted by Rhoda Cleary.

Also contributing to the fourth staging of this extremely popular event will be Limerick based composer and musician Denis Carey with the experienced Bryan Meehan again acting as the musical director.

Tickets will also be available at the door of St Joseph’s on the night.
