THE Limerick Leader would like to wish all our readers - near and far - a very Happy Christmas.

It has been a momentous year for Limerick, with the amalgamation of the city and county councils, and City of Culture, and Limerick’s paper of record has been there to bring it all to you in print and online.

It was the year that the paper celebrated 125 years of publication and 2014 will surely take its place among the most eventful since our first edition rolled in 2014.

“It has been a very big year for the Limerick Leader, as we celebrated the paper’s 125th anniversary,” said Alan English, editor.

“Now, as the year draws to a close, we wish all our readers and advertisers a very happy Christmas. We’ve been very grateful for your continuing support during the year and we’re already looking forward to serving Limerick throughout 2015,” he added.

Happy Christmas to all and a very Happy New Year.
