LEGENDARY showband crooner and Hucklebuck King Brendan Bowyer presents an ‘evening of nostalgia’ at the Lime Tree Theatre in Mary Immaculate College this Saturday night.

Direct from Las Vegas, legendary showband star Bowyer and his Band will perform in this unique concert show, described as a night of “pure nostalgia”.

Brendan has the same high energy he was renowned for in the exciting days of The Royal Showband and The Big Eight.

He will bring you back to the show band era with big hits like Hucklebuck, which went Platinum internationally, Kiss Me Quick, I Ran all the Way Home, Jerusalem and Croppy Boy, among a litany of other well known songs from the era.

Appearing alongside him as special guest on the night will be daughter Aisling - fresh from her own highly rated show in Las Vegas.

The Limerick showband star is an enduring legend and and some of his most cherished memories are the glory days of dancing with The Royal Showband.

Bowyer starts a cracking new Spring programme in the 510-seater venue.

Stephen Rea, John Breen’s Alone It Stands and DruidMurphy’s Conversations On A Homecoming and A Whistle In The Dark are all on the way in 2013.

Tickets for Brendan Bowyer are €25 and are available from the box office in the Lime Tree Theatre.
