A FORMER Miss Limerick whose dream job would be to flex her modelling wings as a Victoria’s Secret angel has won a national search to be the face of Gosh cosmetics.
Shauna Lindsay, 19, who lives in Limerick city won the title of #GoshGirl2015, beating off stiff competition from over 2,000 young women nationwide.
“I was in shock but thrilled to win,” said Shauna who was crowned Miss Limerick for 2013.
“I love everything to do with make-up and fashion as you can see on my Instagram. I’m 100% devoted to make-up.”
Almost half a million votes were cast in the two month long social media campaign, and the top 23 girls were brought to Dublin’s The Morgan Hotel to be judged by a panel including models Glenda Gilson and Sarah Morrissey and celebrity photographer Evan Doherty.
Shauna was selected as the face for the brand meaning her face will be used on all promotional material across the country next year.
As part of her win, Shauna has been signed to Assets Modelling Agency. “I don’t need to move to Dublin for it but I’m thinking of making the move. Nothing is set in stone yet,” she said.
As part of the final, the teenager was interviewed by the judging panel which she said had her “shaking in my boots”.
Her favourite model is Adriana Lima and her dream is to become a Victoria’s Secret model. “Once I live in the gym for about five years, I will accomplish that,” joked the teenager who is currently single.
The teenager hopes to start her own beauty website and cites Versace, Louis Vuitton and Estee Lauder as her favourite brands.
“I’m starting a website showing girls how to do brows and my make-up look. I get a lot of requests on Instagram and it’s hard to get back to everyone,” said Shauna who works in Pamela Scott on Bedford Row.
While she prefers a natural daytime look, the teenager says at night she goes for a smokey eye and lined Kylie Jenner-style lips.
