BELOW zero temperatures have indicated that Christmas is on its way, and now Brown Thomas will truly celebrate the start of this festive season, writes Anne Sheridan.
This Wednesday morning, after weeks of secrecy, the Limerick store and its branches across the country will unveil their specially designed Christmas windows.
This year the Christmas windows will depict the magical stories of classic tales such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.
“The dramatic windows of Limerick’s iconic luxury store reveal beautiful scenes that will no doubt enchant and delight Limerick shoppers this festive season,” says Liam Dwan, manager.
John Redmond, creative director of Brown Thomas, along with his team designed the Christmas windows - and revealed that the themes, which are certain to capture the eye, have been in planning since last January.
“Each year the anticipation to unveil the Christmas windows heightens and draws a great crowd to the city. This year we have brought the windows to life with special elements and glistening lights framing the entrance,” said Mr Redmond, who was in the city last week to examine the display before its launch.
Liam Dwan, general manager of Brown Thomas Limerick, said “Christmas is a magical time focused on celebrating nostalgia, childhood memories, family and friends. This year our Christmas windows evoke the magic of all these well-known fairy tales which we hope will excite all our Christmas shoppers.”
Their Christmas department has already opened.
