UP TO 500 volunteers are required to become the face of a host of festivals coming up under Limerick City of Culture.
Volunteer roles involve welcoming crowds, stewarding at events, ushering and offering information to festival audiences. There will also be a limited number of production and performance volunteer roles.
“This is a great opportunity to be at the heart of Limerick National City of Culture 2014,” said Mike Fitzpatrick, director of Limerick National City of Culture.
“What better way to celebrate Ireland’s first National City of Culture than by volunteering and helping to make the year-long festival a fun, friendly and unforgettable experience for festival audiences,” he said.
“Volunteers will be helping out at a host of exciting events including No Fit State, Proms in the Park, Culture Night, The Shouting Fence and more to be announced. Join the Limerick National City of Culture Volunteer team today and help us shine a light on all that Limerick has to offer,” he encouraged.
The board is looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about the arts to help lift the lid on Ireland’s premier cultural venue in 2014. All volunteers will receive full training in advance of the programme.
