THE BRAINS behind the Baker Place complex open up the doors to all three rooms of the building this weekend for a very special ‘Stay At Home October Weekender’ - featuring a wealth of international, Irish and local DJ-talents.

Portishead’s Andy Smith, LionRock’s Justin Roberston, the West Coast’s Disconauts, Parish’s Donal Dineen, The Unscene, Greenwood, Leon, Slips, the launch of Movember Limerick, Saturday’s Bar-Boot-Sale and more will all see the complex hopping this Bank Holiday Weekend.

Of most interest to local music fans should be the news that the cavernous Underground nightclub is to open to host the various events this weekend, with a new fit-out and design in the much loved nightclub which has been out of action for months.

Friday night sees Andy Smith (pictured above) host his Jam Up Twist in the club, the original Portishead producer, selector and tour Dj now a selector, producer and DJ of mixes like the Document, Trojan, Northern Soul and Boogaloo.

Saturday sees the Disconauts bring their blend of deep and soulful house music to the Underground, while musical pioneer Donal Dineen will play one of his legendary DJ shows in Baker’s Bar, along with local legend Greenwood.

The superb Justin Robertson will play a three hour techno set on Sunday night, while local heads Frawl and Slips play upstairs in the Chicken.
