CHOICE Music Prize nominated duo Heathers are set for a gig in Limerick’s newest music venue tonight in the Library on Cornmarket Row.

The duo - twin sisters Ellie and Louise MacNamara - have come some way since the release of their lo-fi 2008 debut Here, Not There with follow-up Kingdom currently being feted in Irish music circles.

The album is one of the shortlisted entries for record of the year in Ireland’s answer to the Mercury Prize, with first single Forget Me Knots a radio hit for the girls.

The guitar-toting double act first came to prominence due to the success of omnipresent single Remember When, but the sisters have more to offer than that slice of standard acoustic pop and live are a very attractive proposition, bristling with impressive hook-laden, harmony-driven pop tunes.

Support comes from the superb Lou McMahon and entry is free.
