LIMERICK Musical Society will next week present their popular Christmas concert ‘Season’s Greetings’ in the Redemptorists Church.

LIMERICK Musical Society will next week present their popular Christmas concert ‘Season’s Greetings’ in the Redemptorists Church.

Now in its seventh year, the society has chosen to support the Redemptorists Poor Campaign, which provides support to needy city families.

This year, the Limerick Musical Society will welcome The Fathers’ Bell Ringers for the December 6 concert.

Also taking part are mezzo soprano, Sarah-Ellen Murphy; soprano, Roisin Walsh; soprano, Martha O’Brien and young tenor and actor Conor Ryan.

Other groups returning include the Musical Society’s Chorus, Cantette, the Limerick Youth Choir, the Boherbuoy Brass and Reed Band, and the choir from Parteen National School.

Limerick Musical Society chairman James Scanlon said: “We are delighted that Sarah, Roisin, Martha and Conor, all from Limerick together with a varied number of local choirs have agreed to join us for this wonderful festive concert.”

The concert will be under the musical direction of Irish Chamber Orchestra choral director, the acclaimed Maire Keary-Scanlon.

Tickets for the event are priced at €12 each, or €36 for a family of four.
