Local businesswomen Ursula Stokes and Diana Nardone have come together to organise a fashion show in aid of Limerick Animal Welfare.

The two animal lovers got the idea when they were talking about their own recently deceased dogs and decided that LAW would be a worthy beneficiary.

“Every day without fail, somewhere an animal is in distress or being mistreated. Fortunately in some cases this is spotted, Limerick Animal Welfare get the call, respond and we all know that the animal is taken care of and where possible re-homed,” said Ms Stokes.

The show will take place in the Castletroy Park Hotel on April 23 at 8pm and will feature fashions from Ivory Closet, Aisling Maher, Fashion House, Caroline Mitchell, Fiona Whyte, Born, Monsoon and Diesel. Models will include Myles Breen, Nigel Dugdale, Fran O’Donnell, Roger Beck and Liam Whelan, as well as models from the Ursula Stokes agency. Bellissimo will be looking after all the hair and makeup on the night.

Admission for this event is free but there will be a raffle on the night and people are asked to make a donation and support the raffle. A limited number of tickets are available from The Ursula Stokes Agency (087-2569244) and The Golden Grill, 9 William Street.
