UCH to host concert in aid of Alzheimer’s respite centre

A concert featuring some of Limerick’s top musicians will take place in the University of Limerick Concert Hall On Tuesday, December 4 in aid of the Ballina/Killaloe Alzheimer’s respite care centre.

A concert featuring some of Limerick’s top musicians will take place in the University of Limerick Concert Hall On Tuesday, December 4 in aid of the Ballina/Killaloe Alzheimer’s respite care centre.

This will be the fifth concert to raise funds for centre at Waterman Lodge in Ballina/Killaloe which opened in 2011.

The Limerick based Savoy jazz orchestra under leader Al Ryan, a former producer on the Gay Byrne programme on Lyric FM, will begin the evening’s entertainment. This seventeen strong orchestra also features principal trumpeter with the RTE concert orchestra Shaun Hook as well as many of Limerick’s finest musicians.

This year’s line up will also feature the Limerick Gospel and Seoda choirs, dancers from the O’Rourke School of Dancing and comedian John Geraghty.

There will also be special performances from Limerick singer songwriter Denis Allen, West End star Jean McGlynn and many more.

Tickets cost €20 and are available from the University Concert Hall.
