Munster mischief in Limerick city ahead of big match

AS Limerick gears up for another home quarter-final in the Heineken Cup, City of Culture is putting on a “marvellous morning of Munster mischief” to mark the occasion.

AS Limerick gears up for another home quarter-final in the Heineken Cup, City of Culture is putting on a “marvellous morning of Munster mischief” to mark the occasion.

The free, family event will welcome fans of all types onto Thomas and Little Catherine streets from 10.30am-12.30pm this Saturday.

‘Musicians, Magicians, Les Chanteurs et Jokers’ will feature some of Limerick’s finest performers, some 30 in all with over 100 individual performances.

The acrobatic Lords of Strut - who memorably performed at UnFringed in 2010 - will join top local acts like magician Steve Spade, the Limrockers Cru, Windings, dREA, Lou McMahon, Choke Comedy, dancers from UL, vocalists and musicians from the Irish World Academy, Moley and Ras Mikey, plus the St John’s Brass and Reed Band, and Reds’ Concert Band and Choir - the latter two will also perform a free 90 minute concert on the new boardwalk at Harvey’s Quay from 6pm on Friday.
