DOORADOYLE resident Lorraine Turner came first runner-up at the Miss Ireland Universe pageant in Dublin last night.
The 26-year-old beauty, from Newport, represented her native county in the final, which was televised live on TV3.

Lorraine was selected as one of the top five by a panel of celebrity judges, but narrowly missed out on the title when the five ladies were put to the public vote.

Lynn Kelly, from Dublin, was crowned Miss Ireland Universe and will now travel to Vietnam to represent Ireland in the Miss Universe pageant.
