ÁRDSCOIL Rís has been given a green light to progress with a major new extension and refurbishment project, which will accommodate an extra 700 pupils when finished.
The redevelopment is to include a library, a canteen, 16 classrooms, five science laboratories and other specialist rooms.

"I can confirm that the school has been authorised by Minister for Education Batt O'Keeffe to progress to construction stage and award the contract for the new state of the art facility," Minister for Defence Willie O'Dea said.

Minister of State Peter Power also welcomed the news.
