Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort: has won global award for third time

ADARE Manor has been named as Ireland’s leading hotel in the annual World Travel Awards, making it three-in-a-row for the five-star hotel in what are regarded as the Oscars of travel and tourism.

The World Travel Awards have been rewarding and celebrating excellence in all sectors of the travel and tourism industry since 1993 are the brand is recognised as a hallmark of quality and a benchmark for others.

“It is truly an honour to be recognised for a third year by the World Travel Awards,” said Anita Higgins, general manager of Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort. “It is a tremendous privilege to serve our guests and provide them with the best hospitality experience possible and to have this recognised in this way by our customers and our industry colleagues is especially meaningful.”

Voting for the awards is online and a year-long communications campaign encourages global participation.

The votes come from qualified executives working within travel and tourism, as well as consumer travellers. Last year, nearly 800,000 individual votes were cast by travel professionals and consumers in 171 countries.

Awards are presented across three tiers: country, regional and ultimately world awards. Regional winners, such as Adare, will then compete head to head for the world awards which will be announced in December.

World Travel Awards operate a global media partner network which includes Newsweek and National Geographic and which reaches 1.7m readers and a TV audience of 90 million.
