Tranistion Year students from Villiers Secondary School in rehearsal for their upcoming production of 'Brokenville' in December

TRANSITION Year students in Villiers Secondary School are preparing for their annual production, Philip Ridley’s acclaimed play Brokenville.

Following the success of last year’s production, which was Mike Finn’s Ellis Island, the students are again under the direction of Maeve Stone and Ann Blake, well known local theatre practitioners. The students are designing sets and costumes and will perform the music themselves.

The play is based on an unknown disaster and has been adapted to suit this production.

The cast includes Holly Kenny, Aidan O’Gorman, Joelle Fitzgibbon, Juliana Gleeson, Henry Cooke, Caoimhe Gleeson, Aran Duffy, Sennan Moore, Glenn Morrow, Alli Guinane, Sarah Winterburn, Emma Gardiner and Kate Healy.

Brokenville will be staged in the Belltable on December 7-8 at 8pm. Tickets are on sale from Villiers or from www.belltable.ie.
