My Week..with Celia Holman Lee

THINGS are hectic here at Holman Lee HQ this week as we prepare for the Miss Limerick/Miss Clare pageant this weekend.

The night is always a memorable one, and it's worth all of the months of hard work and planning to see the next beautiful Miss being crowned.

This year I have a great feeling that our next Miss Limerick will do very well. We have such a strong group of contestants, it will be difficult to pick just one Miss Limerick! Of course Miss Clare will be selected on the night too.

We have girls from all over the county taking part in Friday night's final, from Dromcollogher to Doon and everywhere in between.

Miss Limerick 2008 Lydia Turley and Miss Clare 2008 Aoife Gallagher did a fabulous job representing us this year and while they will be sad to hand over their tiaras, they are excited to see who will succeed them.

We came very close in 2006 when Eleanor Fitzgerald from Kildimo was named runner-up at the Miss Ireland finals.

She was narrowly beaten by top Dublin model Sarah Morrissey at the time. So I am really hoping that we can go one better at the Miss Ireland 2009 finals next month.

As always my good friends and designers Caroline Mitchell and Linda Wall will be creating dresses for the newly crowned Miss Limerick and Miss Clare. Hair and make-up will be by Halo The Urban Retreat on Roches Street.

But back to Friday night, it promises to be a wonderful evening. The fun kicks off with a West Coast Cooler Ros reception at Trinity Rooms before the pageant which begins at 8pm.

Tickets for Miss Limerick 2009 finals can be purchased from Ticketmaster and Trinity Rooms at a cost of €12.
