My Week..with Celia Holman Lee

ONCE again I have been asked to be a part of the fantastic Pride of Tipperary event.

As always there is a strong Limerick influence with two of the girls hailing from Pallasgreen and one from Galbally.

The festival has gone from strength to strength and may even get to rival the Rose of Tralee one of these days! The grand finale takes place this Sunday at Tipperary Racecourse where the 2009 Pride of Tipperary will be crowned. The lucky lady will also receive €1,000. The agency organised a special fashion show last week to launch the Pride celebrations, with the contestants modelling clothes from Limerick and Tipperary stores. It was a marvellous evening and I wish all of the contestants the very best of luck.

*The amazing Peter O'Brien is back at A-Wear! Peter launched his first summer collection last week in the Irish fashion store. The collection is inspired by the 1940s, with soft muted tones and much of the range is made of 100% silk, with prices starting at €100. For more see fashion this week. I really feel in times of difficulty, we should be supporting our own. Peter is an Irish designer and A-Wear are an Irish fashion chain who create jobs in Ireland, so we should support them as much as we can.

*In these gloomy times, it is refreshing to see a business taking risks and opening new ventures. So when Patricia Roberts, proprietor of No 1 Pery Square Hotel invited me to launch The Beauty Bunker, I couldn't say no! We are so lucky to have this breathtakingly beautiful hotel in the middle of our historic Georgian area. It is an oasis of calm in the middle of the city. The spa itself is gorgeous and as well as spa treatments also has beauticians on hand who use top products including: Sodashi, Leighton Denny and MAC make-up.

I cannot wait to try the spa out for myself. Chat to you next week!
