'ECLECTIC' is the buzz word this Autumn/Winter season, and if that's what you're after, then just take a classic Irish label like Brian Tucker and combine it with an exotic collection of stylish boots and shoes from all over the world, and you're got it.

And while you're at it, just add a dollop of exquisitely crafted Dromcollogher Dresden and you're at another level again. This week, with the help of model Orla Duggan, of the Celia Holman Lee agency, we brought together the quintessential Irish theme and the global image, represented respectively by Johanna Saar, founder of Dromcollogher Dresden and proprietor of Adare Cottage, and her grandson, Christian who runs the amazing Kings Shoes in O'Connell Street.

Johanna stocks some lovely Irish fashion labels and Christian brings us footwear from the four corners of the earth. Johanna has a wonderful collection of Brian Tucker outfits this season, all designed by Leigh Tucker. Her shop is just across the road from the Dunraven Arms and is a great favourite with foreign visitors. Christian's collection of boots is really stunning. The boots are in suede, leather and snake skin, and they come from as far away as Buenos Aires.

There's a lovely Stewart Wessman collection from New York and fabulous Accademia boots from Italy. The matching handbags also come from Kings. Quality is the key word and the look is distinctive and very classy. One of our favourite items was the Brian Tucker trench coat combined with the Jaime Masearo black leather boots. The raincoat cots €265 and the boots come at €225 and believe it or not, they are made for walking. The Brian Tucker classic suit has certainly evolved over the years and this year's tweed version is very soft and feminine with short jacket and gently flared swinging skirt.

The black cashmere wrap-over cardigan worn with the Brian tucker satin shirt is from Inis Mean knitwear and is also available at Adare Cottage. It's the last word in luxury and costs €535.
