THE festive season will kick off in style at the Crescent Shopping Centre this Friday, November 23 when the Christmas lights will be switched on at 7pm by RTÉ presenter, Emma O’Driscoll and rugby star, David Wallace.

And on this Sunday November 25, there will be a host of lively entertainment and attractions for children and adults alike with Santa arriving at the centre at 1pm.

He will be spreading yuletide cheer in Santa’s Grotto every day in the Shannon Mall from then until Christmas Eve.

Crescent Shopping Centre manager, John Davitt, said: “Santa’s arrival at the Crescent is always an exciting occasion and this, with the switching on of the lights, marks the beginning of what will be a fun festive season”.

“Christmas late opening hours begin from Saturday December 8. The Centre will open weekdays from 9.30am-9pm; Saturdays 9.30am-7pm and Sundays 10am-7pm,” he added.
